(NEW YORK) — A mixed day for the markets Wednesday as the Dow posted sizable gains, despite down days for the other major indices.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average climbed 103.97 to end the day at 23,940.68.
The Nasdaq dropped more than one percent, closing at 6,824.34, a loss of 88.02. The S&P also fell, finishing the session at 2,626.07, 0.97 lower than its open.
The price of crude oil dropped 1.2 percent on Wednesday. The cost of a barrel fell to $57.41.
Amazon said Cyber Monday was its biggest sales day ever, and that customers purchased hundreds of millions of products during the Turkey 5 — the time between Thanksgiving and Cyber Monday.
