Nashville notes

Hunter HayesFrankie Ballard and Ryan Kinder will take part in Warner Music Nashville’s Pickin’ for a Purpose event on September 19. The show will take place at 5 p.m. CT at 20 Music Square East in Nashville and the CMA Foundation will be onsite to collect school supplies for victims of Hurricanes Harvey and Irma.

A book release celebration will be held on September 14 in Nashville for Woman Walk the Line. Edited by Holly Gleason, the volume of essays — written by journalists and artists including Aubrie SellersGrace Potter and Rosanne Cash — details how the women in country music changed each writer’s life. The party will be held at ACME Nashville on lower Broadway at 6 p.m. CT.
