Requirements-High School Graduate or GED, at least 21 years of age, with no serious misdemeanors or felony convictions. Testing will include physical fitness test as required by NLETC, written exam, oral interviews, extensive background check and psychological interview.

Community-Gering is a full service city of approximately 8,500 citizens, immediately adjacent to Scottsbluff a community of 15,000. We are located in one of the most scenic portions of Nebraska where opportunities for outdoor recreation are abundant.
Officers certified in Nebraska will be granted a lateral entry upon completion of FTO program. Candidates certified in other states will be granted lateral entry upon successful completion of NLETC's requirements for reciprocity certification and FTO. With a base starting hourly wage of more than $17.00 for entry level our entire staff enjoys a competitive wage and benefits package while working in a small town atmosphere.

Application and resume are to be completed and returned to the City of Gering by 4:30 p.m. Friday March 28, 2014.
