KNEB Operations Director, Bill Boyer, Board President of Camp Scott, Reenie Berry, and Sales Manager, Kendra Feather

KNEB today (Monday, June 10,2013) presented a donation to Camp Scott. KNEB hosted a barbecue held at the radio station to wrap up May's National Beef Month celebration. During the event, free will donations were taken and in two hours $635.13 was collected for Camp Scott. The money will be used to provide scholarships and help cover expenses for the annual five week summer camp for developmentally disabled children and teenagers. Camp Scott starts today and will serve 42 students. Eleven of those are first time campers.

Johnson Cashway and Traegar Grills cooked hamburgers and brats furnished by Whiskey Creek and Hampton Inn and Suites. Allo Communications furnished tables and chairs and bottles of water for the event, and Bluffs Sanitary also furnished tables and chairs and the Nebraska Beef Council sponsored the remote and giveaway. Several businesses participated in the month long promotion including Arby's, Main Street Market, Hampton Inn and Suites.

This is the third year KNEB has raised money for Camp Scott.
