Beauty and the Beast opens Wednesday
Theatre West's final production of the 2013 season, Disney's "BEAUTY AND THE BEAST" opens on Wednesday, July 17th in the WNCC Little Theatre. Nine Theatre West Company members will be joined by thirty-two community adults and children in leading and chorus roles.
"BEAUTY AND THE BEAST" is directed by Jim Kimbrough, with musical direction by Matt Hebbert and choreography by Tiffany Tabor Mackrill. Orchestra Director, Tami Lippstreu, will direct an 8-piece orchestra of local musicians to accompany the cast. Some of the very talented community members include: Aimie Adams as Belle, Martha Rawlings as Mrs. Potts, Mary Mumm as Madam De La Grand Bouche, Ty Hebbert as LeFou, Kim Grams as Monique De Le Vase, with Steve Viessman as the Narrator and chorus members Megan Patrick, Beth Anne Viessman, Ryan and Lisa Castle, and many more.
"BEAUTY AND THE BEAST' is the musical version of the classic fairytale brought to life in animation by Disney and then presented on the Broadway stage. This musical is suitable for all ages. Family Nights have been designated for Wednesdays and Thursdays of each week which allow an entire family to attend the production for $39.00.
Performances will take place in two consecutive weeks from Wednesday Â– Saturday. Performances are July 17, 18, 19, 20, 24, 25, 26, 27 at 7:30 P.M. in the WNCC Little Theatre.
