The new principal owner of the Monument Mall says renovations to the interior and exterior of the old Wal-Mart building are planned this fall in preparation for new national tenants coming into the building by the summer of 2015.

Andy Weiner, President of Houston, Texas based RockStep Capital says he is "very comfortable" saying the new tenants will be at the mall in the next twelve to 15 months.

Weiner says representatives from two national tenants were in town last week and several more will be here next week. He says new signage will be installed by the end of May, a requirement for the national tenants who are considering the Mall.

Weiner says the firms he is talking to have stores in the Cheyenne and Front range area, and when they come to this market will save people the money effort to drive out of town. Weiner said he could not specifically identify the stores at this time.

Rock Step Capital purchased the mall from Perkins Properties out of Omaha. Weiner says he plans to have ten new businesses in the building within the next three years.
