A Scotts Bluff County District Court jury Tuesday found 25 year old Joseph Lowery guilty of possession of methamphetamine with intent to deliver.

During a January 10th raid at the residence of George Valles, Mitchell Police, along with Scotts Bluff County Sheriff's deputies and the WING drug task force seized 17 ounces of methamphetamine, packaged in one large baggie with 10 ounces and smaller packages of one ounce.

Valles was also initially charged in the case, but the case was dismissed by the state last week after an evidence suppression motion in his case was granted by the court.

Lowery has previously spent time in prison after being convicted as an accessory regarding the 2010 murder of James Mendoza of Scottsbluff.

Lowery will be sentenced August 6th at 8 a.m.
