County encouraging suggestions on budget

The Scotts Bluff County Commissioners have established a suggestion box for employees and citizens they hope will provide an idea that could help the county's difficult fiscal situation. The idea comes from Commissioner Sherry Blaha, who says she would like suggestions on how the county can help their situation with budget cuts or additional revenue.

Blaha says an idea that would significantly impact income or expenditures would be eligible for an award, although the board has not decided exactly what that would be. You can make suggestions by e-mailing County Clerk Vera Dulaney at or submit it in person at the Clerk's office. The deadline for submissions is Friday, March 29th.
