New Scottsbluff council member to be selected Monday

The Scottsbluff city council Monday night will select someone to fill the council seat vacated by Mike Deibert November 8th.

The applicants for the position are Stateline Producers Cooperative CPA Liz Hilyard, local businessman Pete Marez, Country Auto Sales Office Manager Michael Mawhinney, Roosevelt Public Power District General Manager Dennis Duffield, and Regional West Medical Center nurse F. Jordan Colwell.

Deibert is leaving the council and the area as part of a job promotion with Nebraska Machinery that will take him to Lincoln. The term of office will be until the first meeting in December 2014.
