Injuries from vehicle-pedestrian believed to be non life threatening
Gering Police say initial reports indicate an elderly resident involved in a vehicle-pedestrian accident early this (Thursday) morning did not suffer life-threatening injuries. Police Captain Jason Rogers says the 92 year old man was walking along the sidewalk when he was struck by a vehicle as the female driver was slowly backing out of her driveway.
Rogers says the accident happened in the 900 block of 19th Street shortly after 6:30 this morning. The Communications Center says the pedestrian was taken to Regional West Medical Center by Valley Ambulance but the condition of the injured party and the names of those involved are not yet available.
