Floyd Enlow, 87, Gering
Floyd Enlow, 87, of Gering, died Saturday, June 23, 2012 at his home. His graveside memorial service will be held at 10am on Wednesday, June 27, 2012 at Mitchell City Cemetery with Reverend Lauren Ekdahl officiating. Cremation has taken place at Jolliffe Funeral Home Crematory in Scottsbluff. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials in Floyd's honor may be made in care of the Mitchell Volunteer Fire Department or to Prairie Haven Hospice.
Floyd was born on June 22, 1925 in Scottsbluff to George Lee and Marjorie (Weekley) Enlow. He received his education and graduated from Sunflower School. He married Twila McKee Hixon on June 6, 1987 in Cheyenne, WY. He has resided in the valley his entire life.
Floyd used to love to ride his motorcycle to Sturgis and watch his son Gary drive his race car. He had a very dry sense of humor. He enjoyed gardening, antique tractor pulls and square dancing and he loved spending time with his family and friends. He will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his wife Twila of Gering; sons Gary (Jane) Enlow of Casper, WY and Sidney Enlow of Greeley, CO; step children Stan (Nikki) Hixon of Marietta, GA, Charles Hixon of Humble, TX, John Hixon of Beatrice, NE; step grandchildren Tyler, Zachary, Max and Sadie Hixon of Marietta, GA; and sister Betty (Lon) Carlson of Tucson, AZ.
His parents and step daughter Charlotte Jerger preceded him in death.
