Mitchell woman gets prison sentence for meth delivery conviction
A 29 year old Mitchell woman found guilty of distribution of methamphetamine was sentenced to three to five years in prison Monday by Scotts Bluff County District Judge Randy Lippstreu. Brooke Schaneman was given credit for 64 days in the Scotts Bluff County Jail.
Schaneman was convicted during a two day trial last month. She was one of nine people arrested on various drug charges in October 2012. The arrests were part of a five-month long investigation into illegal drug activity by the WING Drug Task Force with assistance from the Nebraska State Patrol, Scottsbluff and Gering Police Departments, and the Scotts Bluff County Sheriff's Office.
