Local woman victim of theft by friend
A woman accused of taking more than $2,000 in coins from the house of a friend who allowed the suspect to stay at her residence for over two weeks has been charged with theft. Danielle Sullivan is accused of taking the money from Tammy Viillanueva.
Villanueva told Scottsbluff Police she let Sullivan and her daughter stay in her bedroom after Thanksgiving because they had nowhere to stay. Villanueva says when they left she discovered coins missing from the bedroom and her children's piggbank. Villanueva told Police she believed Sullivan was going to use the money to bond her boyfriend out of jail.
Police were able to use surveillance footage at Valley Bank to help tellers identify Sullivan and her daughter as the people exchanging coins several times at the drive-up window. Police arrested Sullivan after questioning the suspect's daughter, who admitted she used Villanueva's car to drive her mom to the bank.
