Hassebrook says rural development major priority
Democratic gubernatorial candidate Chuck Hassebrook says every community in Nebraska, not just Lincoln and Omaha, must be doing well economically. Hassebrook, a former University of Nebraska regent and currently the Executive Director of the Center for Rural Affairs, says those two positions have taught him rural Nebraska must prosper for Nebraska to prosper.
Hassebrook says wind development, putting more money toward preschool education to reduce the children at risk, and small business and entrepreneur development are his three priorities. Hassebrook says Nebraska should not be one of the highest wind producing states, but have its neighbors in Colorado, Wyoming and Iowa outshine us in wind power.
