Wendy Annette Matzke, 30

Funeral services for WENDY ANNETTE MATZKE,30, will be held at 10am Monday, June 23, 2014 at the Rendevous Center at the Goshen County Fairgrounds with Pastor Scott Mathis officiating. Burial will take place later in Jamestown, North Dakota. Wendy died at her home on June 16, 2014. Memorials may be made to an education fund for her daughter Hayden Matzke. The casket will be closed. Wendy was born December 16, 1983 in Jamestown, North Dakota the daughter of Nathan and Karen (Hoffman) Brown. The family moved to Lingle, Wyoming in 1990 and she attended school there. She graduated Lingle High School in 2002 and then attended Pratt Community College in Pratt, Kansas where she received an Associate Degree in Plant and Animal Sciences. While in high school she excelled in volleyball and was named All-Conference and All-State. She also participated in high school and college rodeo. In college she met Jace Matzke and after living in Kansas they moved back to Lingle and were married in 2006 in Ft. Laramie, Wyoming. She worked with and trained horses most all of her life.

Wendy made beautiful jewelry and participated in rodeo a lot.

Wendy is survived by her husband Jace of Lingle, Wyoming; her daughter Hayden Matzke of Lingle; her parents Nathan and Karen Brown of Lingle; father-in-law and mother-in-law Bobby and Jolea Matzke of Onaga, Kansas; a sister-in-law and her husband Noah and Lacy Schrek of Onaga; aunts Denise Tripke of Montpelier, North Dakota and Pam Marsolek of Jamestown, North Dakota; a paternal grandfather Darrel Brown of Millarton, North Dakota. She was preceded in death by her brother Shiloh; paternal grandmother Nadene Brown; and her maternal grandparents.
