SHS hires a new softball coach

Scottsbluff High School has hired a new softball coach to replace Kendall Vogel who stepped down after last season. Michael Gentry will take over he program next season.

Gentry comes to Scottsbluff from Plattsmouth High School, where he has been the head JV an assistant varsity coach since 2009. He also coached the baseball team in 2010. Gentry was also the reserve team and summer softball coach for Papillion LaVista South in 2008.

Gentry will teach at Westmoor Elementary School.
