WNCC softball to hold hitting clinics

The Western Nebraska Community College softball team will be holding two clinics and a hitting league during the winter months beginning Nov. 3.

The Cougar softball hitting league will begin Nov. 3 and run for the next four Sundays (Nov. 3, 10, 17, and 24). The hitting league is for ages 8 through 18 and costs $30 per person. Hitting league times are slated for 6 p.m., 6:45 p.m., and 7:30 p.m. Each participant will get 50 swings a night in the competition. The hitting league will be held at the Field of Dreams building located on West 20th street next to Cleveland Field.

The Cougar softball team will also hold a hitting clinic on Sunday, Nov. 17 from 9 a.m. to 12 noon for girls in grades sixth through 12th. The clinic costs $25 per person and will be held at the Field of Dreams building located on West 20th street next to Cleveland Field.

The softball team will also hold a pitching clinic for girls ages 6 through 18 on Sunday, Dec. 8. The pitching clinic will run from 2-5 p.m. and it will be held at Cougar Palace. The cost is $25 per person.

For clinics and leagues, individuals are asked to bring a bat, helmet and a water bottle. Also, do not wear cleats.
