Icy roads blamed for 4 accidents

Icy road conditions were blamed for four accidents Monday afternoon, the most serious near Moomaw's Corner north of Bayard.

The Nebraska State Patrol said that 21-year-old Natasha Ingraham of Moffatt, Colorado was driving a 2000 Ford SUV eastbound on Highway 26 just before 8 p-m when she lost control of the vehicle, spun and struck an embankment, causing the vehicle to roll onto it's side. There were six people in the SUV, all of which were wearing seatbelts.

Ingraham and one passenger, 18-year-old Angel Cauffman were transported by ambulance to Regional West Medical Center, where they were treated and released.

The Patrol said that the other accidents occured just west of Dix on Highway 30, just west of Lodgepole on I-80, and four miles east of Scottsbluff on Highway 26. There were no injuries in any of those accidents.
