Wyoming bank merger announced
Wheatland Bankshares, Inc. and First State Bank of Wyoming announced today Tuesday hey have signed an agreement to merge with Glacier Bancorp of Kalispell. Montana.
First State Bank has locations in Wheatland, Torrington, and Guernsey, Wyoming while Glacier is a regional bank holding company with commercial banking services in six regional states, with Wyoming divisions in Evanston and Powell.
First State Bank President and Chief Executive Officer Ted Bentley says the merger allows them to continue operating under the community bank model, increase lending limits, broaden product offerings, and provide excellent opportunities for shareholders, employees and their customers. Bentley says First State Bank will continue to operate under the same name and the Board of Directors, Management team and employees will remain unchanged.
