Nebraska gymnast wins weekly conference award
Nebraska sophomore gymnast Grant Perdue was named the Big Ten Conference Gymnast of the Week Monday.
The Houston native earned first-place finishes in both of his events in No. 10 Nebraska's tri-meet with No. 7 Minnesota and No. 9 Iowa last weekend.
He placed first in the floor exercise (15.150) and on the vault (15.250).
Perdue's score in the floor exercise was 0.650 higher than the second-place finisher.
Perdue earns his first ever weekly award, and it is the first Gymnast of the Week honor for any Husker male gymnast.
