State Patrol hoping to expand space soon

With a total of 9 state agencies moving into the Vertex building on Broadway in Scottsbluff, the Nebraska State Patrol will be the only occupant of the State Office building on the north edge of Scottsbluff.

The offices of Labor, Revenue, Education/Vocation Rehab, Nebraska Brand Office, Department of Environmental Quality, Equal Opportunity Employment, Economic Development, Correctional Services, and Commission for the Blind & Visually impaired will all be moving to 505 Broadway in the front part of the Vertex building.

Captain Mike Gaudreault, Troop E Commander in Scottsbluff says they will be able to use the additional space to expand a number of their services, including as an example, a larger area for evidence storage.

Gaudreault said other divisions within the State Patrol, including Carrier Enforcement, Traffic Services, Investigative Services Division, and Communications Division will all be able to utilize the additional space to do their jobs better.
