Gering man charged with sexual assault, enticement of young girls
A 20 year old Gering man suspected of texting a number of young girls and having sexual relations with one of them has been charged with first degree sexual assault of a minor and two counts of enticement by electronic communications device.
Court documents say an investigation conducted by the Nebraska State Patrol indicates Anthony Stricker had been communicating with several young teens by text messages in March and April. The documents say Stricker used lewd and obscene language, asked the girls to send pornographic images and also asked if they were interested in having sex.
The investigation began after a grandmother and father of a 14 year old expressed concerns about text messages found on the girl's phone. Sergeant Monty Lovelace posed as the 14 year old in text conversations with Stricker and reviewed an archived message on Stricker's Facebook page that indicated he had sexual relations with a different girl.
Subsequent interviews with Stricker where he admitted communicating with several young girls and an interview with the victim where she admitted Stricker had sex with her resulted in the arrest and charges being filed.
