Family Fishing event Monday evening in Terrytown
The Nebraska Game and Parks Commission is sponsoring a Family Fishing Night tonight (Monday) at Terry's Pit in Terrytown. It's free of charge and open to anyone. The only requirement is those 16 and older need a fishing license to fish.
The Nebraska Game and Parks has 28 of these fishing events scheduled around the state, but there's something special for this one. The Jerry Tallmon Memorial Family Fishing Trailer will be dedicated. Tallmon had a passion for fishing his entire life. More than anything, he loved sharing the experience and teaching others, especially young people, how to fish. It is in this spirit of sharing that this activity trailer is being dedicated.
The trailer will provide loaner fishing equipment, bait, and fishing instruction free of charge. Call 402-471-5447 to book the trailer for an event or visit familyfishing.outdoornebraska.gov for scheduled activities.
Tonight's event will be held from 5 to 7:30 p.m. at Terry's Pit in Terrytown. The only requirement is those over 16 years old need a fishing license to fish.
