Two Husker volleyball players honored
Senior Kelsey Robinson did it again. She has been named Big Ten Conference Player of the Week. It was the second week in a row for Robinson to earn the award, and the third time overall.
The senior outside hitter led No. 11 Nebraska to road wins over No. 16 Wisconsin (3-1) and No. 9 Minnesota (3-2), averaging 4.9 kills, 3.4 digs and 0.6 blocks per set.
Robinson notched double-doubles against both the Badgers (21 kills, 13 digs) and Gophers (23 kills, 19 digs).
The Setter of the Week was Mary Pollmiller of the Huskers. The junior
paced the Huskers' offense, averaging 12.3 assists per set. She also
recorded 50 assists against the Badgers and 61 assists against the Gophers.
Like Robinson, Pollmiller, a transfer from Tennessee, earned her third Big Ten honor of the season.
Defensive Player of the Week is Katie Slay of Penn State and the Freshman of the Week is Taylor Sandbothe of Ohio State.
