Cooper grants benefit local attractions
Two $10,000 grants have been awarded locally to the Legacy of the Plains Museum and the Scotts Bluff National Monument. The grants are from the Cooper Foundation, a Nebraska-based foundation that gives grants only to Nebraska based organizations.
Scotts Bluff National Monument Superintendent Ken Mabery says they will use the funds to pay expenses in historic research being done at the Monument.
Katie Bradshaw, Executive Director of the Legacy of the Plains Museum says the bulk of their grant money will go to Exhibit Design & Associates of Estes Park, Colorado, for their assistance in the comprehensive exhibit design for the new museum.
