Elizabeth Reents, 90, formerly of Morrill

Elizabeth Reents, 90, of Arvada, CO passed away Sunday, May 5, 2013 at Colorado Lutheran Home in Arvada, CO. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, May 10, 2013 at Dugan-Kramer Funeral Chapel with Pastor Tim Hebbert officiating. Interment will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery in Morrill, NE. Friends may call at the funeral home between 1-8:00 p.m. Thursday.

Animals are an important part of the Colorado Lutheran Community and Beth found great pleasure in Leonard who was the dog living at the home. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to the Animal Fund at the Colorado Lutheran Home, 7991 West 71st Ave, Arvada, CO 80004.

Elizabeth was born March 2, 1923 in Fort Morgan, CO to Jacob and Mary (Minch) Kembel. She grew up in various communities in Colorado, South Dakota and Nebraska where she attended Lake Alice School. On March 14, 1954 she married Ellis Reents and had one son Roy Reents. With her husband they farmed in the Morrill, Alliance, Henry and Bayard communities. After her husband's death she moved to Scottsbluff to raise her son and lived with her sister Lydia Kembel. She worked in the Scottsbluff community at Kelly's Castle, Toy Castle and Bob's Superette. In 2002 she moved to Colorado and resided at the Colorado Lutheran Home. She thrived in that community and found great peace with the residents and staff. The staff at the Colorado Lutheran Home became her second family. At her passing they expressed how they would truly miss her.

She is survived her son, Roy Reents, adopted son Tom New, brother John (Pat) Kembel, sisters-in-law, Ruth Kembel and Pat Reents and brother-in-law, Robert Edwards and many nieces and nephews.

Elizabeth was preceded in death by her parents, husband, twin brother Fred and brothers Jake and Sam Kembel, sisters Mary Loos, Esther Christman, and Lydia Kembel and two infant siblings.
