Three treated for injuries after hitting 4 cattle
The Nebraska State Patrol says three people in a car who hit four cattle on the L62A link two miles west of Angora Sunday night were taken to Regional West Medical Center Sunday evening, but did not suffer any life threatening injuries. The Patrol says 24 year old Kathy Teppert of Cheyenne was traveling east when her pickup struck the cattle belonging to Stuart Feedlot.
Restraints were not in use by the driver and two passengers. Driver and passenger airbags did deploy. The 1997 Ford pickup was totaled. The accident occurred at 9:45 Sunday night.
The Patrol also cited a 16 year old Chappell teen, Newt Hummermeier, for speeding and careless driving after they clocked him at 122 miles per hour three miles west of Chappell on I-80 shortly before midnight Friday. Hummermeier was driving a 2006 GMC pickup.
