CSC's Jones makes list
Chadron State College's Mollie Jones has been named to the 2012 Capital One Academic All-District Six Volleyball Team as voted on by members of the College Sports Information Directors of America.
To be eligible for the all-academic team, which recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances athletically and in the classroom, a student-athlete must maintain at least a 3.3 cumulative GPA.
Since Jones earned first team recognition in her district, she'll advance to the national ballot.
Jones a senior outside hitter from Longmont, Colo., has a 3.90 GPA in legal studies. For the season, she has 199 kills and 261 digs.
