Former Scottsbluff Mayor working for hospital in North Platte

A former Scottsbluff mayor has been named the new vice president of marketing and communications for Great Plains Regional Medical Center. Fiona Libsack officially joined the hospital staff Sept. 20 and is excited about her future in North Platte.

Libsack graduated from the University of Wyoming in Laramie. Libsack began her career at Regional West Health Services in Scottsbluff, where she worked as a community relations manager for 10 years. It was during that time, that she also served as a member of the city council and as mayor.

From Scottsbluff, Libsack moved to Colorado. She took a job as a marketing and communication strategist for Poudre Valley Health System in Fort Collins, Colo., where she stayed until offered the position in North Platte.
