Scottsbluff woman in stable condition after Friday crash

A Scottsbluff woman remains in stable condition after after an accident near Scottsbluff Friday.

The Scotts Bluff County Sheriff's Office said 58-year-old Wanda Haaheim of Scottsbluff was driving an eastbound Chevy pickup on South Beltline Highway East just after 5 p.m. Friday when she collided with a northbound Ford tandem axle truck at the intersection of Sugar Factory Road.

Haaheim was trapped in her vehicle, and had to be extricated before being transported to Regional West Medical Center in Scottsbluff for treatment. She was listed in stable condition Monday. She was issued a citation for driving under suspsension, no insurance, and careless driving.

The driver of the truck, 61-year-old Mike Chrisman of McGrew was not injured.
