Day: More snow coming, conditions to "rapidly deteriorate" tonight

While snow has stopped or let up in the area this afternoon, Day Weather Meteorologist Don Day said more in on the way.

Day said that it is "snowing to beat the band" now from Douglas and Casper southwest through northwest Colorado, and that area of snow will move into our area tonight.

Day said that the system is probably 6 to 10 hours behind schedule, but conditions will "rapidly deteriorate" after dark tonight through about noon tomorrow.

Another 3 to 6 inches of snow is "a good bet," with more snow expected from Alliance and Chadron west through Crawford and eastern Wyoming.

Day said that winds will also increase, leading to tough conditions after dark through noon tomorrow, as cold weather, and blowing, heavy snow could create some serious issues with cattle and stock growers.
