Cougars trail at halftime

The Division I National Junior College Women's Basketball Tournament is underway in Salina, Kansas as the Western Nebraska Cougars of Dave Harnish are playing in the very first game against St. Fair Community College of Sedalia, MO.

St. Fair, 21-8 on the season, is leading WNCC at halftime 24-19. The 30-4 Cougars have struggled offensively, with the exception of Bridgeport's Ashley Stevens. She has 10 points at intermission, the first 10-points of the game for the Cougars.

St. Fair and WNCC are meeting for the second time this season. The Cougars won the first get together in November, 67-61.
