Man charged with sexual assault of a child

A 42 year old Scotts Bluff County man is being held in the Scotts Bluff County Jail on $500,000 bond with a ten percent cash provision after being charged with the third degree sexual assault of a ten year old girl.

Anthony Arrellano is accused of inappropriately touching the child in her home. The court document indicates the child told a Nebraska State Patrol investigator the latest incident happened in February, and usually occurs while the victim's mother is working and her siblings are not in the room.

Authorities were alerted by a concerned citizen whose daughter plays with the victim. Arellano will make his first court appearance Monday afternoon in Scotts Bluff County Court.
