Huskers return home to play USC
The Nebraska men's basketball team looks to begin the month of December on the right foot, as the Huskers welcome USC to the Bob Devaney Sports Center on Monday, Dec. 3.
Monday's game is also Toys for Tots Night, as fans are encouraged to bring a new, unwrapped toy or cash gift for children in the Lincoln community. Marines will be stationed at each of the main entrances of the Devnaey Center to collect the items.
Tipoff between the Huskers and Trojans is set for 7 p.m. CT.
Nebraska is 5-1 on the season and wrapped up one of its most successful Novembers in school history with a 79-63 win at Wake Forest on Nov. 27 in the ACC/Big Ten Challenge. The win was NU's largest road win since 2003, as the Huskers handed the Demon Deacons their first-ever home loss in seven tries in the ACC/Big Ten Challenge. NU's five wins in November ties for the second-highest total in school history, and the Huskers' 5-1 start is the program's best in five seasons.
Against Wake Forest, the Huskers received career nights from Ray Gallegos and Andre Almeida, as both players scored a career-high 20 points. Nebraska shot 62 percent in the second half and placed four players in double figures to bounce back after a loss to Kent State.
USC is 3-3 on the season and has been off since Nov. 25, when the Trojans lost to No. 25 San Diego State, 66-60. The Trojans have played a difficult early-season slate, traveling to Maui and also taking on Long Beach State and San Diego State in its first six contests.
