Team Auto Center gives $10,000 to local non-profits
Team Auto Center has once again partnered with Toyota Motor Corporation and has doubled their giving to local non-profits this year. Team Auto Center has donated $5,000 to both the Midwest Theater and the Oregon Trail Community Foundation.
These donations have been made being made possible by Toyota Motor Corporation matching funds. Since 1991, Toyota Motor Corporation has given more than $600 million to local not-for-profit organizations across the United States.
This is the fourth year that Team Auto Center has presented local non-profits with checks. Past recipients include Keep Scottsbluff/Gering Beautiful (2012), Platte River Basin (2011), an d CASA of Scotts Bluff County (2010).
Billy Estes, Executive Director of the Midwest Theater, said the theater has used their money to install a new digital system.
Kent Holub, Partner of Team Auto Center, said the dealership decided to contribute to the Midwest Theater because he appreciates the artistic diversity that the venue offers. "We are quite fortunate as a community to have the Midwest Theater and the variety of performances it offers," Holub said.
Bev Overman, Executive Administrator of the Oregon Trail Foundation, said, "We are thrilled about the grant from the Toyota Dealer Match Program and the matching funds from Team Auto Center. Team's
involvement in our community is evident by this generous donation. The donation will be placed in our general fund and will be distributed with other grant money for 'brick and mortar' projects in our community. Our grants committee approves applications for projects that will remain as part of the community for years to come. They strive to develop and maintain our area for future generations."
"The Oregon Trail Community Foundation has given much back to the people of Western Nebraska through their endowment fund. Most people don't realize how much they do because they work behind the scenes, and we are proud to support them and their community efforts," said Holub.
"We like to support the community that supports us," said Holub.
