Husker Hoops Receive Verbal From NJ Guard
To the victors go the spoils! Fresh off a berth to the men's NCAA basketball tournament the Nebraska basketball team now locking down a player they hope will help solidify the foundation of the program for years to come as they received a verbal commitment from class of 2014 point guard Tarin Smith.
Smith attends St. Anthony's High School out of New Jersey. At St. Anthony he played under legendary coach Bob Hurley, Sr, one of the best high school coaches of all time.
St. Anthony's teams over the years are known for hard work, discipline, and attention to detail. Those same traits have been hallmarks for the Cornhuskers early on the Tim Miles regime.
Tarin Smith seems to fit the mold of a "Miles type player."
Miles and his staff traveled to New Jersey and offered Smith following the road win at Michigan State.
