Local auctioneer injured in Morrill car-pedestrian accident
The owner of Sugar Valley Auction Service has been hospitalized following a car-pedestrian accident in Morrill Tuesday afternoon. 61 year old Lonnie Loomis, who lives in Mitchell, is listed in serious condition at Regional West Medical Center.
Scotts Bluff County Attorney Doug Warner says the Morrill police officer investigating the accident told him a vehicle driven by 53 year old Tim Cleays of Morrill struck Loomis around 1:30 p.m. Tuesday. Cleays was cited for failing to yield to a pedestrian.
