A near head-on collision Tuesday evening closed part of Highway 20 east of Harrison for about an hour.

According to the Nebraska State Patrol, an eastbound 1994 GMC pickup driven by 33 year old Robert Fox of Texas crossed the center line and struck a westbound 2002 Chevrolet Suburban nearly head-on 8 miles east of Harrison at around 9:15 p.m. The Suburban, driven by 19 year old Kaitelyn Woodrum of Harrison went through the north ditch and into a field.

Fox was transported to Regional West Medical Center in Scottsbluff with non life-threatening injuries, while Woodrum was transported to the Chadron hospital, also with non life-threatening injuries. A passenger in Woodrum's Suburban suffered minor injuries but refused transport.
