There are some interesting first round match-ups featuring western Nebraska teams.

Chadron earned the top seed in Class C1. The Cardinals head to Lincoln with a 22-2 record and will play Lincoln Christian in a first round game at 7:00 p.m. at Pershing Center.

In Class B 19-2 Beatrice earned the top seed. They will battle South Sioux City in a first round game. District 6 champ McCook settled for the sixth seed and will have a rematch with third seeded Northwest. The Grand Island school, which won the Class B volleyball title, whipped McCook 68-46 February 15th.

Northwest also has former Scottsbluff Bearcat Morgan Westphal playing for them. The senior also played on the state championship volleyball team.

The two teams will have the final Class B game of the day at 8:45 p.m. at the Sports Center.

Two familiar foes will square off in a first round C2 game. Hershey and North Platte St. Pat's will be meeting for the fifth time this season, and for a third time in the past month. Each team has won twice, with sixth seeded St. Pat's knocking off third seeded Hershey in the sub district finals 48-to-43 in double overtime last week.

The two teams will square off at 10:45 a.m. at Lincoln East High School.

Tickets for each session are $7 for adults and $5 for students (age 5 through high school) and can be purchased at the door or on-line at
