A 23 year old Scottsbluff man facing multiple drug and weapons charges, flight to avoid arrest and an old failure to appear charge has reached a plea deal with prosecutors.

Alex Paramo was accused of traveling at speeds estimated over 105 miles per hour while fleeing from police before a collision with a Scottsbluff Police cruiser finally brought the chase to an end.

Paramo was originally charged with possession of methamphetamine, two counts of possession of a firearm by a prohibited person, and flight to avoid arrest. In exchange for a guilty plea on charges of flight to avoid arrest, possession of methamphetamine and one count of possession of a firearm by a prohibited person, the state will dismiss a previous failure to appear charge, a 2013 case involving unauthorized use of a financial device, and the second charge of possession of a firearm by a prohibited person.

Paramo will be sentenced on June 5th at 8 a.m.
