Panhandle Humane Society recieves Farm Bureau/Murdoch's donation

A number of Scotts Bluff County Farm Bureau members joined with employees of Murdoch's in Scottsbluff to make a unique donation to the Panhandle Humane Society Thursday.

The Farm Bureau presented a check for $500, and paid for a lifetime membership with the Panhandle Humane Society. Murdoch's has agreed to sell bags of dog and cat food with damaged packaging at a reduced rate to the Humane Society, and Farm Bureau has donated an additional $250 to be applied toward the purchase of the pet food from Murdoch's.

Scotts Bluff County Farm Bureau president Jeff Nichols told KNEB News that most farmers and ranchers take good care of their large animals and they respect the work the Panhandle Humane Society does in taking care of small animals. So, Nichols says this is the Farm Bureau's way of showing support to the Panhandle Humane Society's mission.
