Scottsbluff woman dies in Wyoming crash
A 36 year old Scottsbluff woman died in a one-vehicle accident late Saturday night south of Glendo, in Platte County, Wyoming.
According to the Wyoming Highway Patrol, Gabriell L. Palmer was traveling northbound on I-25 about 6 miles south of Glendo, when she lost control of her vehicle on a roadway that was very icy due to black ice conditions at about 11:08 p.m.
Sgt. Stephen Townsend says Palmer lost control as the vehicle began to rotate clockwise going off the right side of the roadway. The vehicle went down a steep embankment and overturned when it struck a ditch at the bottom of the embankment.
Townsend said Troopers investigating the accident attribute speed too fast for the existing conditions as a contributing factor along with very worn tires on the vehicle.
Palmer was wearing a seatbelt.
