Teens arrested for convenience store burglary

Dropped candy bar wrappers have led to the arrest of two teens for burglarizing a Scottsbluff convenience store late Sunday night. Thomas Barrios of Scottsbluff and Joey Eagle Elk of Lisco, both 17, were taken in custody.

Police found wrappers from the convenience store at 5th and East Overland that led to an apartment complex laundry room. Officers found an open box of butterfinger candy bars and an opened carton of cigarettes, and after viewing surveillance video and gaining a description of the burglars clothing, arrested the subjects at an apartment.
