Salvation Army looking for ringers this holiday season

Community Action Partnership of Western Nebraska (CAPWN) has teamed up with The Salvation Army again this year for the annual Salvation Army Bell Ringing Campaign which will kick-off on Thanksgiving and ring through Christmas.

CAPWN Community Bridges Director Jennifer Rogers says it is the 13th year bells will ring in the
Scottsbluff/Gering area.

The bells will ring at Wal-Mart, Kmart, Safeway, in Scottsbluff and at Fresh Foods in Gering, focusing mostly on Friday and Saturday's at all four locations, beginning Thanksgiving night at Walmart at 7 p.m.

Last year over $27,000 was raised for emergency aid to citizens and the homeless, this year's goal is $30,000. If you,your neighbors and friends, or your church or service group are interested in ringing, call Rogers or CAPWN Community Bridges Assistant Director Carmen Trevino at 635-3089.
