Low gas prices nice Christmas present

Holiday travelers are seeing lower gas prices this holiday season. There are several outlets in the local area where gas is selling for less than $3 a gallon.

Average retail gasoline prices in Nebraska have not moved in the past week, averaging $3.18/g yesterday, according to GasBuddy's daily survey of 1,150 gas outlets in Nebraska. This compares with the national average that has not moved in the last week to $3.24/g, according to gasoline price website GasBuddy.com.

There are several outlets in the local area where gas is selling for less than $3 a gallon.

Including the change in gas prices in Nebraska during the past week, prices Sunday were 1 cent per gallon lower than the same day one year ago and are 16.1 cents per gallon lower than a month ago. The national average has decreased 19.1 cents per gallon during the last month and stands 1.3 cents per gallon higher than this day one year ago.
