Sidney murder accomplice agrees to help Police in plea agreement

A plea agreement has been reached regarding the alleged accomplice to a drug related shooting death in Sidney last November. Under the agreement, 35 year old Billy Fields will admit to a charge of accessory to a felony in exchange for critical information regarding the location of the murder weapon.

Authorities believe a black short rifle was the weapon used by 33 year old murder suspect Jason Custer in the death of 36 year old Adam McCormick. Fields will also testify in the case.

Court documents indicate Fields helped drive Custer from Sidney to Big Springs, after the November 3rd shooting. Custer allegedly shot McCormick after the two men had argued over money the suspect owed for drug purchases.
