Alliance man sentenced to prison on drug charge

An Alliance man has been ordered to serve three to four years in prison for a drug conviction.


42-year-old Brian Chessson pled guilty to felony possession methemphetamine on February 13 and was sentenced earlier this week in Box Butte County District Court.


District Court Judge Travis O'Gorman noted that Chesson will be eligible for parole in 18 months and he was given credit for seven days served in the Box Butte County Jail.


Chesson was arrested last September 11 when police searched his home after a citizen complained of the possibility of drugs in Chesson's home which was also occupied by children.
