Imogene Anderson, 91, Scottsbluff
Imogene Anderson, 91, of Scottsbluff, died at The Residency in Scottsbluff, on Sunday, December 9, 2012. Memorial services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, December 14, 2012 at the Calvary Lutheran Church in Scottsbluff with Pastor Brad Brauer officiating. Inurnment will be held in the Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 1:00 until 5:00 p.m. to sign the register book. Friends may visit www.cantrellfh.com to view the obituary and leave condolences for the family. Memorials have been established to the family. The services for Imogene have been entrusted to the Cantrell Funeral Home.
Imogen Anderson was born in Burton, Nebraska on September 13, 1921, the daughter of Eddie LeRoy and Flora May (Trumbull) Gulick. At and early age she moved with her family to her grandfathers farm near Harrisburg, Nebraska. In 1935 the family moved to the Kirk Community in Banner County where she finished her 7th and 8th grade years of school. Imogene attended the Banner County High School and graduated in 1939. On October 5, 1940 Imogene was married to Ralph Anderson at the parsonage of Reverend Peterson, who was the pastor of Swedish Mission Covenant Church. They moved to Ft. Collins, Colorado where Ralph worked for United Airlines for a short time. They moved back to the family farm where their son David Ralph Anderson was born on December 29, 1943. Imogene and Ralph continued to farm until February of 1993 when they moved to the Residency in Scottsbluff. She was a member of First English Lutheran Church in Kimball and helped organize the Kimball Hospital Auxillary. After moving to Scottsbluff she joined the Calvary Lutheran Church..
Survivors include her daughter-in-law, Judy Anderson of Kimball, NE; grandsons Mike (Heidi) Anderson of Banner County, and Mark (Tiffani) Anderson of Kimball, NE; great grandchildren Olivia, Meighan, Keirsten, and Trevor; sisters Maxine Lanning of Pine Bluffs, WY., Glenna Streeks of Gering, NE., Janice (JW) Snyder of Banner County, NE., and Janett (Harold) Connour of Cheyenne, WY; sister-in-law Ella Mae Cederberg of Kimball, NE and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son Daivd, sister and brother-in-law Donna and Bill Olsen; brother-in-law Melvin Lanning, Bill Streeks, Roger Cederberg; brother and sister-in-law Alden and Evelyn Anderson
