Chamber honors handed out at banquet

The Scottsbluff-Gering Chamber honored three key members of the business community during their annual banquet Tuesday.

Star Herald Publisher Jim Holland received the organization's biggest honor, the Trail Blazer award. Holland has been a publisher for 32 years, and more than eight years in Scottsbluff-Gering. Holland has served on the boards of the Oregon Trail Community Foundation, Northfield retirement, Scottsbluff YMCA and Rotary. He has also been President of the United Way of Western Nebraska, past chair of the Scottsbluff-Gering Chamber, and is currently Vice President of the Nebraska Press Association.

The Visionary Super Star is Dawne Wolfe with the First National Bank, North Platte. She is the Vice President of Commercial Banking.
She has served on the YMCA Board for ten years, including Board President, has been a chair for the United Way of Western Nebraska, and is the current President-Elect of the Scottsbluff Rotary Club.

The Visionary Rising Star is Platte Valley Companies executive John Marshall, whose volunteer work includes being a United Way of Western Nebraska Loan Executive, work with Monument Prevention Coalition, Teammate mentor and board member, Rookie of the Year in Scottsbluff Rotary for 2012 and Chair of the Special Event Committee.
