Day says the focus of the system will not be the snow, but the moisture with a half inch of moisture or more very possible for Scottsbluff and areas south to Kimball.
Day says the moisture will likely be evenly divided between rain and snow. The higher elevations will see more snow, as much as six to ten inches in some area around Cheyenne, but the snow for our immediate area will likely be two to five inches.
The National Weather Service is saying showers will begin this evening along with falling temperatures that will give us snow after midnight.
May is usually one of the best months for precipitation in our area. Day says the computer models show we will have good moisture this month, with the possibility of even another chance of snow in a storm that is tracking for our area the middle of next week.
